JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – City leaders gathered Wednesday morning to celebrate the grand opening of the Emerald Station with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Future of Cities CEO Tony Cho, Mayor Donna Deegan, the President of City Council Randy White, and other members of the community attended the grand opening.

This celebration of community revitalization marks the completion of the first phase of construction of the 8.3 acres of the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District, a development project by Future of Cities.

The 17,000-square-foot Emerald Station is an adaptive reuse project located in the historic Springfield neighborhood.
“This is just a tremendous day, a tremendous day, the Phoenix Arts & Entertainment Innovation District, rather, is an important piece of our efforts to revitalize Jacksonville’s urban core and bring new development to the historic Springfield and Eastside neighborhoods,” Deegan said.

The renovated Emerald Station warehouse now features creative offices, conference rooms, a community lounge, event space, and a catering kitchen. It also features an event venue.
