On Saturday, officials said Georgia voters exceeded the 4 million mark on the final day of early voting, which was Friday.

A total of 4,004,588 voters cast their ballots either by voting early or absentee by mail during early voting.

“This was the most successful Early Voting period in Georgia history because voters trust the process,” said Raffensperger. “Four years of progress brought us here. We’re battle-tested and ready, regardless of what the critics say. And we’re going to hold those who interfere in our elections accountable.”

Here’s how this year’s numbers compare to previous years:

  • 1,890,364 in 2018
  • 2,697,822 in 2020
  • 2,289,933 in 2022

Officials said they identified four people who may have violated state law and potentially used various tactics in order to attempt to cast multiple ballots during the early voting period. If the investigation shows violations of the law, officials will refer the individuals to local district attorneys.

Early voting ended Friday. Voters who have not yet cast their ballot should confirm their polling location on My Voter Page and cast a ballot on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
