The new location, which is anticipated to open in the Summer of 2025, will be located next door to the Epic Theaters in the Epic Villages at 127 Epic Boulevard in St. Augustine.
“St. Johns County as a whole continues to attract new residents and businesses alike, and we’ve been studying the growth in St. Augustine over the last few years. The time is right for us to expand our footprint in St. Augustine with a larger retail store, donation center, and a Good Careers center to support the community,” David Rey, Goodwill Industries of North Florida’s President and CEO said. “The groundbreaking for this project comes at a time of expansion for Goodwill of North Florida as we extend our reach in communities like St. Augustine. And it comes on the heels of a very successful and exciting grand opening of our first grocery store, Deb’s, in Jacksonville’s Out East neighborhood.”
“We continue to make a positive impact in North Florida thanks to everyone who shops with us, donates gently used items as well as financial donors. Every donation truly makes a difference in someone’s life, and we’re grateful for the continued support of our generous community.”, he said.
The new location will have more than 30 employees. The GoodCareers Centers will offer a free, full-service space for anyone needing help with job searching in St. Johns County.
Community partners will be able to use the space for training and more.
