Nassau County deputies investigating human remains found in Four Creeks State Forest

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office said Friday it is investigating the discovery of human remains found in Four Creeks State Forest in Callahan.

Deputies said they found skeletal remains in the forest along Old Wood Shingle Mill Trail.

According to the sheriff’s office, the remains will be sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity and cause of death.

Officials did not release any further details on the discovery but said they will provide more information when it’s available.
