JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 20-year-old man died Wednesday morning after crashing into a semi-truck near Jacksonville’s Naval Air Station, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said the man, who was driving a Suzuki motorcycle, was reportedly speeding along Roosevelt Boulevard around 11 a.m. north when a semi-truck turned left onto 120th Street into the Naval Air Station’s gate on Allegheny Road.

The motorcyclist was unable to stop and crashed into the semi-truck, FHP said.

He died at the scene.

The crash comes just a day after a 17-year-old girl died after crashing into a pickup truck on Argyle Forest Boulevard while riding her motorcycle.
