JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A local biker community helped patients at Wolfson Children’s Hospital get into the holiday spirit.
The Northeast Florida Biker Connection escorted dozens of toys to the hospital Monday morning in honor of its annual holiday toy drive.
“Don’t look at us as anything more than a bunch of guys that care about this actual community,” Shawn Pelletier, a biker with the NEFBC, said.

Pelletier said the “Stuff the Trailer for Axe” drive is named after friend and former Nassau County Firefighter Lannie Axe Wilson who died in 2022.
“All he cared about is the kids and he’s the one who forced us to push and make this happen and things like that. And NEFBC, all the clubs in Jacksonville, have come together to keep it going,” Pelletier said.
These boxes are more than just gifts. Staff at Wolfson said this means the world to the kids and their parents.
“Children and families being sick don’t stop just because the holidays happen. So, when we receive these donations around the holiday season, and we’re able to give them, it makes that family and patient so much happier,” Tessa Cook with Wolfson said.
Packing and delivering a sprinkle of hope and Christmas cheer in each box.
