JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 15-year-old boy was arrested Thursday and charged with the murder of a 17-year-old in October in the Hogan’s Creek neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO said LeBron Sakhael Jacobs went to the Police Memorial Building on Dec. 5 to turn himself in connection with the shooting death of Ken’yade Lamar Jones.

On Oct. 5, police responded to reports of a person who had been shot on Venus Mars Court. When they arrived, officers found Jones suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
JFRD transported Jones to a local hospital for treatment and rushed into surgery. He died a few hours later, according to JSO.
Homicide detectives identified Jacobs as a potential suspect and later issued a warrant for Jacobs’ arrest.
After Jacobs turned himself in, he was interviewed by detectives and transported to the Pre-Trial Detention Facility charged with Jones’ murder.
