CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A 58-year-old Green Cove Springs woman just won a $1 million prize from playing the LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game, the Florida Lottery announced Friday.
According to the release, the woman purchased her winning ticket from Green Cove Food Store, located at 201 North Orange Avenue in Green Cove Springs. She chose to receive a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.

The retailer also received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

The $50 scratch-off features two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million, the release said.
“Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024,” the Florida Lottery said. “Additionally, since inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded more than $64.3 billion in prizes, created 2,230 millionaires, and generated more than $19.50 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).”
