Major League Baseball’s all-time steals leader and Baseball Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson died at the age of 65, according to the New York Post.
Officials said Henderson was recently in the hospital battling pneumonia.

Henderson, also known as the “Man of Steal,” played 24 seasons for nine teams from 1979 to 2003. He debuted in the majors with the Oakland Athletics but starred with other teams like the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees. He retired with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He holds a .279 batting average with over 3,000 hits. Henderson holds MLB records for career stolen bases with 1,406 and runs with 2,295.
