ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A couple was rescued from choppy waters in St. Augustine on Friday after their boat capsized, leaving them sitting helplessly on top of the overturned vessel.
The Marine Unit with The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office found the couple stranded near the St. Augustine Inlet on Feb. 15 around 3 p.m.

The sheriff’s office said the waters were rough and poor that day because of strong winds and large swells.
Deputies worked to pull the couple and their dog onto the rescue boat.
No one was injured.
