It’ll now cost you to drive on St. Johns County beaches

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Starting Saturday, drivers will have to pay to drive on St. Johns County Beaches as toll booths open at all beach driving access ramps.

Booths are located at Vilano Beach, Porpoise Point, A Street, Ocean Trace Road, Dondanville, Matanzas Avenue, Mary Street and Crescent Beach (Cubbage Road).

Beach Driving Passes are required for vehicular access from March to September and can be purchased with cash or card.

All drivers must stop at the toll booth at the beach driving access ramp. An attendant will scan the barcode on your pass before you drive onto the beach.

Daily passes cost $10 for county residents and non-residents, and $5 for disabled and active military beach visitors.

Annual passes are available for purchase at $50 for county residents, $100 for non-residents, $40 for ADA Accessible. Passes are free for disabled veterans with identification.

May 1 - Sept. 30: Around 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
