ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County officials announced there will be a major traffic shift impacting drivers on County Road 210 starting next Friday.
Officials said drivers traveling on CR-210 from Greenbriar Road to Cimarrone Boulevard can expect delays that might impact neighborhood access from March 14 to March 23
This is part of the $40-million widening project which will add 2.3 miles of four-lane roadway, multiple new signalized intersections, sidewalks and bike lanes to help alleviate congestion in this area.
According to the county, construction crews will be diverting traffic on the westbound lanes to the newly constructed roadway on Friday. Eastbound lanes will start diverting to the new roadway the following week.

During this shift, left turns will be restricted due to elevation concerns requiring right-hand turns into and out of neighborhoods. Additionally, access to neighborhoods in this area will be impacted and U-turn diversions may be necessary, officials said.
Temporary traffic signs and message boards will be posted throughout the area to indicate traffic pattern shifts.
Drivers are encouraged to be cautious as traffic adjusts to the new roadway configuration. During the transition, entering and leaving neighborhoods in this area will be easiest outside of peak times.
Officials asked drivers to plan accordingly to reduce travel times and congestion.
