Before the Manta Rays hit the road for their long drive north, FSCJ’s women’s volleyball team, family, friends and mascot Rayzor Ray cheered on the players with music and posters.

The players took off from the South Campus on Beach Boulevard.

The men’s basketball program is no stranger to the tournament, marking its second-straight NJCAA National Tournament appearance.

The Manta Rays enter the tournament as the ninth seed.

FCSJ recently celebrated a 68-64 victory over Snead State Community College in the Gulf South District Championship to get to this point.

They are set to face Davidson-Davie Community College in the first round on Tuesday, March 18, at 2 p.m.

The game will be hosted at Danville Area Community College in Danville, Ill.

For those looking to follow the Manta Rays throughout the tournament, there are a couple of ways to watch.

The games will be streamed online at njcaa.org/network/landing/index. Viewers need to pay for access, with day passes priced at $12 and a tournament pass available for $35.
