VIDEO: Missing Texas teen found safe after St. Johns County chase

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office released video of a March 15 chase in the Durbin Pavilion area involving a vehicle linked to a missing 16-year-old girl from Texas and a suspect wanted on multiple charges.

The vehicle was found in the parking lot of Durbin Pavilion. The suspect, identified by deputies as 19-year-old Jesus Esteban Arellano, had outstanding warrants from Texas for five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

When deputies approached, the driver attempted to flee. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver was executed, ending the pursuit.

Arellano was taken into custody, and the missing girl was safely recovered.

In addition to his existing warrants, Arellano faces charges from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office for fleeing and eluding law enforcement, providing a false name, and driving without a driver’s license.
