Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens named USA Today’s 4th ‘Best Zoo’ in the US

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens announced on Wednesday it was named the 4th Best Zoo in the United States as part of the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

As part of the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, the Top 10 Best Zoos were determined by public voting, from Feb. 10 through March 10.

This marked the first time Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens was nominated for this category.

  1. Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium: Omaha, Nebraska
  2. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo: Colorado Springs, Colorado
  3. Columbus Zoo and Aquarium: Powell, Ohio
  4. Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens: Jacksonville, Florida
  5. Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden: Cincinnati, Ohio
  6. Brevard Zoo: Melbourne, Florida
  7. North Carolina Zoo: Asheboro, North Carolina
  8. Audubon Zoo: New Orleans, Louisiana
  9. Riverbanks Zoo and Garden: Columbia, South Carolina
  10. Saint Louis Zoo: St. Louis, Missouri
