The award-winning comedian and actor was supposed to perform at the Florida Theatre back in September, but the show was postponed because of Hurricane Helene.
He said his routine is all new material, which means he will have jokes never told before.
News4JAX spoke with Wayans about the theme of the show, which he said is using comedy to deal with pain.
“Laugh. Learn to laugh. Learned to laugh at life. Learn to laugh at yourself. Learn to laugh and your worst moment. The joke’s on me,” Wayans said. “You can expect to laugh. I am funny. There is no doubt. I have been doing comedy now my whole life. I am 52 years old. I’ve been funny since I was born, and I am only getting funnier. If you want tried and tested comedy, pull up. You will get more than your share of laughs.
The show starts at 8 p.m.
You can still get tickets on the theatre’s website.
Make sure to tune in to The Morning Show this weekend.
News4JAX Anchor/Reporter Aaron Farrar had a long conversation with Wayans about the tour, current projects he is working on, life and success with his family.
That two-part interview aired this Saturday and Sunday morning, and can be watched below.
