JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier held a news conference on Tuesday in Jacksonville to announce the creation of a new office of parental rights.
Uthmeier said during the news conference that the office will feature a team of litigators, many of them parents, to support other parents in legal battles against infringements on their rights.

Uthmeier was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve as Florida Attorney General in February.
He succeeds former Attorney General Ashley Moody, whom the governor tapped to fill the U.S. Senate Seat of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
