JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced in a social media post that an 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that left two people dead early Saturday morning.
Officers responded around 3:30 a.m. to a shopping complex on Baymeadows Road near Old Baymeadows Road.
Upon arrival, they found 19-year-old Rubisnney Giraldo-Mina and 41-year-old Larry Baldwin Sr. on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded, but both men died at the scene.
According to JSO, 18-year-old Larry Baldwin Jr. was also found at the scene and detained. After interviewing him and investigating the circumstances, detectives determined that Baldwin Jr. shot both victims during an argument.
He was arrested later that afternoon and is now in the Duval County jail, facing two murder charges.
