JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman is dead after being shot Friday night at a Jacksonville apartment complex, and a person of interest is detained, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded to the Exchange at Orange Park apartment complex on Collins Road just after 7:45 p.m. Friday after reports of a shooting. That location is just off Roosevelt Boulevard near Knightsbridge Circle and Fulham Road in the city’s Ortega Hills neighborhood.

JSO’s says when officers got there, they found the woman inside an apartment with at least one gunshot wound.
JFRD took her to a hospital where she died from her injuries, investigators said.
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office say they arrested a 19-year-old man on Saturday afternoon.
Isaiah Robinson was arrested and charged with manslaughter following the shooting, which occurred on April 24, 2026.
Robinson is currently being held at the Duval County jail.
