JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Crews rescued a jet skier who got stuck in mud Thursday night in the St. Johns River near the Dames Point Bridge, the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said marine units were sent just after 7 p.m. to Whispering Oaks Drive in the Woodmere neighborhood of Arlington, which is along the river, after receiving a call about the jet skier.

A JFRD chief told News4Jax that the department's rescue boat was unable to get to the man because of the mud, so they sent a mud boat to rescue him.
The jet skier was not injured.
