While many may be heading “over the river and through the woods” to grandma’s house for the holidays, plenty of families prefer to venture away from home to see festive sights.
Florida, known for its world-famous attractions, features one of the most crowded holiday destinations on the planet.
A study by the travel website Rustic Pathways, using TripAdvisor reviews, ranked the most crowded holiday attractions worldwide. At the top of the list: Universal Studios Hollywood, where nearly 40% of visitors reported feeling it was overcrowded.
Coming in second was Rockefeller Center in New York City, with 35% of travelers saying it was packed with holiday crowds.
Third place went to Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho, while Florida’s own Busch Gardens Tampa landed in fourth.
The list rounded out with the Nuremberg Christmas Market in Germany, a picturesque spot bustling with festive activity.
For families looking to avoid the holiday crush, it might be worth planning carefully and picking times or destinations with fewer crowds. Alternatively, embracing the festive energy of these bustling spots can be an adventure in itself.
