Gov. DeSantis visits weather-battered South Florida

Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday morning held a news conference in South Florida.

Storms have plagued the area in recent days and forecasters warned Floridians to prepare for additional flash flooding after a tropical disturbance dumped as much as 20 inches of rainfall in the southern parts of the state, with worsening conditions expected Friday.

DeSantis was joined by Florida Division of Emergency Management Executive Director Kevin Guthrie and Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue.
