Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz shot into the spotlight after coining the label “weird” for former President Donal Trump and the GOP.
Now he’s on Vice President Kamala Harris’ ticket as her vice presidential running mate.
The question is: Is he just the ticket the Democrats need to win the White House?
Harris no doubt hopes to shore up her campaign’s standing across the upper Midwest, a critical region in presidential politics that often serves as the ticket to the White House.
The party remains haunted by Trump’s wins in Michigan and Wisconsin in 2016. Trump lost those states in 2020 but has zeroed in on them as he aims to return to the presidency this year and is expanding his focus to Minnesota.
Does this add the “Midwest Muscle” Harris needs?
Government law attorney and aide to former Gov. & Sen. Bob Graham Chris Hand joined us on The Morning Show to discuss those matters and more.
