HabiJax launches 2024 Women Build initiative empowering women to help other women with housing solutions

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Habitat for Humanity Jacksonville (HabiJax) celebrated the launch of its 2024 Women Build initiative Friday morning which aims to empower women help other women and families with affordable housing solutions.

According to HabiJax, this initiative has led to the construction of 10 homes in Jacksonville since 2003.

This year’s initiative will focus on affordable housing, HabiJax said, since this is one of the most critical needs in Duval County.

More than 5,700 homes have benefited from the work of Women Build, and Habitat Women Build teams have completed new homes, repairs and renovations in 650 communities in the U.S.
