Jacksonville Humane Society searching for families to foster pets during Hurricane Milton

The Jacksonville Humane Society (Jacksonville Humane Society)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you are looking for a way to make a pawsitive impact during the storm, there’s still time to serve as a temporary foster with the Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS).

JHS encourages those interested in helping animals during the storm to consider fostering through the “Storm Trooper” program. Fosters can pick up pets today until 2 p.m. at the JHS Adoption Center on Beach Boulevard.

Foster families are asked to keep the pets throughout the storm’s duration, with supplies provided while available.

If you are ready to step up for an animal in need, all you have to do is show up! No call ahead is necessary, but all storm fosters must be picked up before closing at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 8464 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
