JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – This holiday season, Primrose schools across Jacksonville united to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
Through their annual Caring and Giving Food Drive, preschool students collected and donated 3,870 canned goods to local organizations such as Farm Share, Green Cove Food Pantry, and St. John Cares.

The initiative is part of a larger effort by Primrose Schools nationwide, which has contributed nearly 1.5 million food items to local charities since 2019. As part of their Balanced Learning curriculum, Primrose encourages students to engage with their communities through acts of giving, fostering values of empathy and generosity from a young age.
Students took part in the effort by earning money through household chores to purchase canned goods, instilling a sense of responsibility and pride in helping others. Participating schools included Primrose School of Crosswater Parkway, Primrose School of Fleming Island, Primrose School of Glen Kernan, Primrose School of Julington Creek, and Primrose School at St. Johns Forest.
Primrose Schools emphasizes that teaching the importance of caring and sharing is a cornerstone of early education. This initiative not only supports local families in need but also helps shape the next generation of compassionate leaders.
