Jacksonville rapper, producer team up to gift kids with bikes and toys just before Christmas

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two Jacksonville stars in the music industry teamed up to spread holiday cheer on Christmas Eve.

Actress and Rapper Kamillion and Grammy Award-Winning Producer Jahaan Sweet hosted a pop-up toy and bike giveaway at the downtown Trinity Rescue Mission on Union Street.

The goal of the festive event was to bring joy and holiday spirit to children in need. The two gave away toys and bikes, putting smiles on many faces on Tuesday.

The “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” and " Rap Sh!t" star said she reached out to Sweet to have him “match” her donation efforts.

“We’re here today to serve our community and to give back,” Kamillion said.

She also reflected on how her childhood shaped her efforts to create similar experiences for other kids.

“Riding my bicycle when I was a kid was like one of the biggest gifts at Christmas. I used to ride and think to myself and plan who I was going to be when I got older and the dreams I wanted to accomplish,” she told News4JAX.

Kamillion wants to make this an annual event for the community and hoped her support would inspire others to give back.
