As you get older, you can’t bend the way you used to. Certified personal trainer Dominique Landry joins the show to give you tips and tricks to exercise depending on your age.
Exercise in your 30s: With the 30s, you start noticing that weight doesn’t come off quite as easily as it used to. This is a good age to start making fitness apart of your daily routine to stay healthy and to keep the weight off.
Exercise in your 40s: According to Oprah.com, this is the decade of the triple whammy: gravity, hormones, and yet more slowing of metabolism as lean muscle mass continues to decrease and body fat increases. Certain body parts may call out for extra attention.
Exercise in your 50s: Something to keep in mind entering your 50s is that it is important to start warming up (if you haven’t already) and to make sure you’re stretched.
Exercise in your 60s+: In the 60s, problems like arthritis and bad knees become common. Instead of letting those aches and pains stop you, adjust your workout to fit you.
