Paws-ing 4 Pets | Give Blue a Forever home

Today on Pawsing for Pets we have “Blue” from Jax Humane. She’s a 4 year old mixed breed who has lived with other dogs and children. She’s housetrained and very sweet. If you are looking for a furry friend to add to your family, consider baby Blue! The Jacksonville Humane Society provides care, comfort and compassion to animals in need while engaging the hearts, hands and minds of our community to bring about an end to the killing of abandoned and orphaned shelter animals.

Wondering what to bring with you when you come to JHS to adopt?

  • Please bring a current ID and either cash or card.
  • Be prepared to spend at least 1 hour with an Adoption Counselor to process your adoption.
  • Bring a leash and collar (no choke collars or chains) if you plan to adopt a dog or a carrier for cats and kittens. These items may also be purchased from them at the time of adoption.
  • You are welcome to bring your own dog if you are adopting another. Their team can help facilitate a pet-to-pet introduction. Please make sure your current pet’s vaccinations are up-to-date.

You must be at least 18 years of age or older to adopt.

If your potential new best friend hasn’t completely convinced you during your visit to JHS, they offer commitment-free sleepovers on most adult pets. Just ask their staff about this option.
