Every spring, elementary school students in St. Johns and Clay county are encouraged to participate in the annual Bag It Up drive. Students are encouraged to take a look in their closets and playrooms and donate their gently used clothes, toys, books and more to help fuel Goodwill’s mission. Parents can contribute as well.
The lesson is not only to help others, but to help the planet. Donations to Goodwill help keep items out of the landfills, and give “second life” to those donated toys, books and clothes. Goodwill of North Florida has diverted 13,069,725 pounds from local landfills.
When you make a donation, you are investing in another’s potential and strengthening our local community. While our stores and online businesses help fund our operations, we rely on the support of generous individuals like you to bring our mission to life—providing critical skills, on-the-job training, paid work experience, and more.
