River City Plus: A deep dive into 904 history

The Jacksonville Historical Society and its Jacksonville History Center are 95 years old this year. They remain not just the oldest but the only public history organization serving all of Jacksonville. In 2022 the Historical Society led this city’s Bicentennial commemoration, fulfilling its mission of strengthening citizenship through public history education. www.jaxhistory.org
