Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation gives children with life-limiting, life-threatening conditions fun day at The Players

Foundation tees up its annual ‘These Kids Can Play’ event

The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation’s “These Kids Can Play” event aims to offer children grappling with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions a safe haven to relish The Players Championship.

Jim and Tabitha, who live in Ponte Vedra Beach, visited the St. Johns Town Center Dillard’s store with two lucky families to help them get outfitted with shoes, shirts, belts, dresses and accessories for their special day at the tournament.

The foundation has been hosting the event since 2008 to allow PGA Tour wives an opportunity to give back during The Players and the families a chance to meet professional golfers, like Jim.

Children linked with the Community Hospice program and Wolfson Children’s Hospital, accompanied by their families, receive a warm invitation to engage with PGA Tour players and their partners at the Stadium Village.

Following a morning packed with activities, crafts, and heartfelt connections, families are encouraged to leisurely explore the golf course and delight in the thrilling golf action at The Players!

“To be able to come out to The Players and enjoy a great day of fun is really rewarding,” said Tabitha, adding that families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions often don’t get many opportunities to enjoy outings together.

Essential contributions from partners like the Jacksonville Zoo, Books-a-go-go, and Imagination Playground play pivotal roles in bringing this magical event to life, along with TIAA Bank and The Players Championship.
