JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Duval Spring Fest has become a local staple but has attracted music talent and small business vendors from Georgia, central and south Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and beyond.
The multi-day celebration of independent music and fashion kicks off with a private rooftop mixer from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and a fashion show from 7 p.m.-12 a.m. Friday. The festivities end with a community block party from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, followed by a volunteer feed-those-in-need event from 1-2 p.m. Easter Sunday.
Jacksonville’s own Rep. Angie Nixon is scheduled as a special guest speaker at the Saturday event.
Multi-platinum producer MgeeZy will also be there as a special guest judge on Saturday for the Mic Madness artist tournament where some of Jacksonville’s best up-and-coming artists will compete to win a grand prize that includes free studio time and a chance to perform in Atlanta during BET Hip Hop Awards weekend this fall.
