JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Meet Shade, a bubbly 4-year-old girl with a penchant for making new friends, regardless of their age.
Having actively participated in Jacksonville Humane Society’s Humane Education programs, Shade has developed a fondness for mingling with children of all ages -- the more cuddles, the merrier!
Her infectious enthusiasm and joyful demeanor make her an ideal companion for any household.
Shade’s journey to find her forever home comes amidst April’s observance of Heartworm Awareness Month. JHS is currently spearheading a fundraising initiative to support heartworm treatment for dogs like Shade, who arrive heartworm-positive.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, hundreds of dogs have been able to receive the necessary treatment, paving the way for brighter, healthier futures.
If you’re looking to add a bundle of joy to your family, consider adopting Shade and be a part of her heartwarming story at JHS!”
The Jacksonville Humane Society provides care, comfort and compassion to animals in need while engaging the hearts, hands and minds of our community to bring about an end to the killing of abandoned and orphaned shelter animals.
