It’s EARTH DAY! Earth Day is a great time to celebrate and appreciate the beauty and fragility of our amazing planet. In our community, this could mean taking hike on a local trail, going for a swim at the beach or picking up trash in a local park. For Beaches Go Green volunteers it’s all about EDUCATION!
Beaches Go Green (BGG), a hyper local environmental education nonprofit, was created to help educate our Jacksonville community about all of the waste that we are creating and how it is impacting our health and the health of the planet. Beaches Go Green volunteers believe that if people know better, they will do better. There are so many free ways to learn... BGG Instagram, eco-cinema showings, eco-art at Deck the Chairs, community clean-ups, BGG student clubs and more!
With (13) Beaches Go Green student-led clubs in both Duval and St John’s counties, young people in Jax are making a huge impact by educating their peers and younger students too. Beaches Go Green encourages all of the readers to GET OUT THERE to protect and enjoy our beautiful area. BE THE CHANGE.
