Recently, St. Augustine Humane wrapped its Sweet Things 2025 Calendar Contest. One of the winners in the contest was Mable. Pictured is Mable and her mom, Ashlee. Mable is a 3 year old American Bulldog who was adopted by Ashlee in February 2024, from a shelter. When Ashlee first met Mable, she (Mable) was heartworm positive, thin and missing most of her fur. After months of TLC, and great veterinary care, Mable is doing great, and just recently was a top vote getter in the Sweet Things calendar contest.
You can check out all of the calendar contestants at www.pinuppaws.com. You will see that the contest fundraising goal was missed by a smig. Just like Mable, St. Augustine Humane is NOT done. Donations can be made at the St. Augustine Humane Society’s website, www.staughumane.com . Another way to help is if you have available time, St Augustine Humane is always looking for volunteers such as Ashlee, who has been volunteering with St Augustine Humane since 2021. St. Augustine Humane does not received direct government funding, and cannot keep up its service to the community without private donors and volunteers. That’s why St. Augustine Humane is saying thank you to everyone that donated to all the pets, the owners of those pets, and all the volunteers that put in the time to make all St. Augustine Humane Society’s efforts successful.
