River City Plus: Jax Local Jenny D’Anthony and Teammate Anna McLean Achieve World Record Row Across the Pacific Ocean

47 DAYS AT SEA ....

Team United Row, made up of Jacksonville local Jenny D’Anthony and best friend Anna McLean, made history on July 25th 2024, setting the World Record as the youngest pair to row across the Pacific Ocean after spending 47 days, 17 hours, and 37 minutes at sea. The duo faced unimaginable challenges including numerous knock downs, equipment failures, and severe weather, but overcame each obstacle to successfully complete the fully self-supported expedition from Monterey Bay, CA to Kauai, HI with oars as their only means of propulsion. Amongst the daily struggles of life onboard a 24 ft rowing boat, Jenny and Anna kept spirts high by creating alter egos, singing, daydreaming, and learning to cherish the simple beauties of life. They’ve paired this monumental effort with the establishment of their own nonprofit organization, United Row Corp, with a mission to create the resources and opportunities for other women in sports, leadership, and education and preserve and protect our oceans for future generations. You can learn more about their crossing and donate to their nonprofit on their website unitedrow.org.

They hope to inspire even just one person to chase that dream they never thought possible.

Follow along for and support the United Row Corp!
