JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bud is a sweet, almost 6-month-old hound mix who is hunting for his furever home.
He’s learning some obedience and is easy to train. He’s playful and is great around other dogs and children. He hasn’t been around cats yet.

More than 13 years ago, The London Sanctuary began as a dog rescue organization. While rehabbing and rehoming hounds in Northeast Florida is still the sanctuary’s primary focus, the community’s needs have necessitated an expansion of their outreach.
Some examples of that include purchasing pet food and livestock feed, providing funds for routine and emergency vetting of owned pets to keep them with their families, being part of a partnership that brought low-cost spay/neuter to Baker County, as well as sponsoring a number of those surgeries, and running hurricane relief for the last three major storms.
Recently, the sanctuary sent some of its adoptable hounds through the UCI ROCK hounds program, a training program at Union Correctional. All of this takes funding and volunteers.
