River City Plus: On the Move to Cure Ataxia 5K - this Saturday!

Regina McKenzie, CEO of Get It Done Solutions, shared her personal and heartfelt journey as a caregiver for her mother, diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia in 2012. During the segment, she highlighted the upcoming “On the Move to Cure Ataxia” 5K event, aiming to raise awareness and funds for Ataxia research and support through the National Ataxia Foundation. This inaugural event, hosted by the Winston YMCA, will take place on October 5th, 2024, in Jacksonville, FL, starting at 8 AM along the scenic Riverwalk. The event will also feature food trucks, vendors, and speakers to educate the community about the impacts of this disease. Participants can join the 5K in person or virtually, and there will be a 1-mile fun run for all ages. Get It Done Solutions is committed to serving the community by advocating for Ataxia awareness and supporting affected families.
