As fate would have it, Penny found a temporary haven with a local family who passionately advocates for rescue animals and foster care.
The foster family spotted a News4Jax Instagram post about dogs like Penny and recognized their own fur foster.
Today, Penny’s story comes full circle, thanks to Aki and her daughter Olivia, who joined the show live in the studio to share their experience.
Currently, Penny is at the Jacksonville Humane Society, waiting for the chance to find her “furever” home.
