Chili cook-off to benefit Clay County Habitat for Humanity

People looking for something to do on Nov. 12 have the chance to eat good while also benefitting a worthy cause.

The 12th annual Moosehaven Chili Cookoff will feature the nation’s best chili cooks, as well as local entries from individuals and organizations.

This year’s event benefits Clay County Habitat for Humanity.

Admission and parking are FREE! $5 Chili Taste Kits allow you to participate in the People’s Choice awards and proceeds benefit Clay County Habitat For Humanity. The event also features NASCAR driver Ross Chastain signing autographs with his #1 Moose car, a Classic Car show, hosted by Clay County Cruzers, showcasing over 100 classic show cars, live entertainment, food trucks and arts & crafts vendors. Moosehaven is located at 1701 Park Avenue in Orange Park.

Cook teams compete in two different divisions.

The International Chili Society competitors will be judged in Red Chili, Green Chili and Salsa Divisions and River City Live’s own Rance Adams will join the judges to help choose the winner! Teams from our community, and fraternal family from across the nation, will compete for bragging rights in the coveted People’s Choice awards!
