The Buffalo Bills have sent 1,440 chicken wings to the Cincinnati Bengals as thanks for helping them make the playoffs for the first time in 18 years.

The Bills announced the shipment of the wings from local restaurant chain Duff's, along with 90 pounds of celery, 30 pounds of carrots, six gallons of blue cheese dressing and nine gallons of wing sauce, in a tweet posted Thursday night.

The team originally promised the wings in a thank you note tweeted to the Bengals after Sunday's games. According to ESPN, the Bengals plan to donate the wings to the Children's Home Autism High School in Cincinnati.

The love between the two teams stems from the Bengals' last-minute victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton connected with Tyler Boyd for a 49-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-12 with 44 seconds remaining to win the game.

That victory gave Buffalo, which beat the Miami Dolphins 22-16 Sunday to up their record to 9-7, the last playoff spot in the AFC. The Bills will travel to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon in their first playoff game since 1999.
