Super 10 football rankings
Rank, Previous, School, Record, Classification
1. (1) Trinity Christian (8-0), 1M
Last week: d. Christ’s Church, 47-14*.
This week: vs. Providence (4-4, 2-1), 7:30 p.m.*
Notable: No doubt about it. The Conquerors are sailing towards a 10-0 regular season. They’ll contend for a state championship, their third consecutive, in Class 1M.
2. (2) Bartram Trail (8-0), 4S
Last week: d. Gainesville Buchholz, 21-6*.
This week: at Oakleaf (4-4, 1-2)*.
Notable: The only questions for the Bears now is if they can polish off a 10-0 regular season and how high of a region playoff seed they’ll draw. The Bears are clicking at the right time.
3. (3) Jackson (7-1), 2M
Last week: d. Baker County, 21-14.
This week: at Raines (6-1, 1-0), Thursday, 6:30 p.m.*
Notable: The game of the season as we’ve said from the beginning. The Tigers visit the Graveyard and will try and win their first district title since 2009.
4. (4) Bradford (8-0), 2S
Last week: d. Dunnellon, 44-0.
This week: at Palatka (7-1, 2-0)*.
Notable: At this point, the better question is will any team score on the Tornadoes. Beating Bradford in the regular season doesn’t seem realistic at this point.
5. (5) Raines (6-1), 2M
Last week: d. Atlantic Coast, 36-0.
This week: vs. Jackson (6-1), Thursday, 6:30 p.m.*
Notable: The Vikings have handled business since their lone loss to No. 1 Trinity. They’re heading to the state playoffs regardless, but a district title guarantees them a berth.
6. (6) University Christian (8-1), 1M
Last week: d. Parker, 49-26.
This week: Off.
Notable: A comeback nailed shut a win over the Braves last week. The Christians will try and nail down a nine-win regular season next week against Bishop Kenny.
7. (7) Fletcher (6-2), 3M
Last week: Off.
This week: vs. First Coast (5-2, 1-1), Thursday, 6:30 p.m.*
Notable: After an off week, coach Ciatrick Fason will try and go 2 for 2 in winning district titles. This Senators team is far more balanced than last year’s squad.
8. (8) Creekside (6-2), 4S
Last week: d. Fleming Island, 38-35*.
This week: vs. Atlantic Coast (0-8).
Notable: The Knights are heading towards a regional playoff berth but seeding is vitally important and they can’t afford a stumble against the winless Stingrays.
9. (9) Bolles (5-3), 2M
Last week: Off.
This week: at Bishop Kenny (7-1, 2-0)*.
Notable: A district title (and bragging rights for another year) come with a victory over the rival Crusaders. Bolles has picked things up since an unusual three-game losing streak.
10. (10) White (5-2), 2M
Last week: d. Ribault, 30-22.
This week: at Westside (1-7, 0-1), Thursday, 6:30 p.m.*
Notable: The Commanders stayed a step ahead of Ribault last week and should wrap up a district crown without much trouble this week.
