Super 10 football rankings
Rank, Previous, School, Record, Classification
1. (1) Trinity Christian (10-0), 1M
Last week: d. Quincy Munroe, 54-21.
This week: Off, will host Orlando Christian Prep (6-4) in Region 1-1M semifinals on Nov. 18.
Notable: The Conquerors went wire to wire as the area’s No. 1 team all season long. They’re off this week before facing an OCP team that they were in a dogfight with last year in the playoffs before Treyaun Webb sewed things up.
2. (2) Bartram Trail (10-0), 4S
Last week: d. Mandarin, 42-20.
This week: vs. Flagler Palm Coast (4-6) in Region 1-4S quarterfinals.
Notable: The Bears have a realistic claim to the No. 1 spot. They’ve been untouchable this season and polished off just the second 10-0 regular season in program history. How the Class 4S playoff road falls, this shapes up at Bartram’s best season to win a state championship.
3. (5) University Christian (9-1), 1M
Last week: d. (T-10) Bishop Kenny, 29-10.
This week: Off, will host Orlando First Academy (8-2) in Region 1-1M semifinals on Nov. 18.
Notable: UC’s best win of the season came in Week 11, a thorough performance against a talented Bishop Kenny team. As long as two-way star Orel Gray is healthy, the Christians are going to be a problem. They’re headed for a showdown against Trinity Christian on Nov. 25.
4. (8) Creekside (8-2), 4S
Last week: d. Ponte Vedra, 47-23.
This week: at Navarre (8-2), Region 1-4S quarterfinals.
Notable: The Knights have been one of the area’s most explosive and consistent teams this season. Where they haven’t been explosive is in the postseason. The Knights have just one win in the state playoffs (2011), a massive upset over a 10-0 Bishop Kenny team led by future NFL QB John Wolford.
5. (7) Fletcher (8-2), 3M
Last week: d. Atlantic Coast, 30-0.
This week: vs. Tampa Bay Tech (8-2), Region 1-3M quarterfinals, 6:30 p.m.
Notable: The Senators are 2 for 2 under coach Ciatrick Fason in winning district titles and reaching the playoffs. The next goal is to win a game there. Fletcher last won playoff game in 2014 against Oak Ridge in the opener.
6. (4) Bradford (9-1), 2S
Last week: lost to Suwannee, 10-7.
This week: vs. Crescent City (4-6), Region 2-2S quarterfinals.
Notable: The quest for a perfect regular season ended with a tough loss to Suwannee. It didn’t knock the Tornadoes out of the top spot in the region. There’s a good chance they could see Suwannee again in the state series round.
7. (3) Jackson (8-2), 2M
Last week: lost to First Coast, 30-16.
This week: vs. Riverside (4-6), Region 1-2M quarterfinals, 6:30 p.m.
Notable: The Tigers saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end with a surprising loss to First Coast. No matter. They’re in the postseason as a district champ for the first time since 2009. The game against Riverside isn’t as easy a matchup as it seems. Jackson had a tough time against the Generals in the regular season, winning just 6-2.
8. (9) White (7-2), 2M
Last week: d. Baldwin, 28-0.
This week: vs. (9) Raines (7-2), Region 1-2M quarterfinals, 6:30 p.m.
Notable: The Commanders ended the regular season with one of their most impressive wins of the season in taking apart an eight-win Baldwin program. White’s last playoff win in a non-pandemic year came over St. Augustine in the second round in 2014.
9. (10) Raines (7-2), 2M
Last week: d. Westside, 32-6.
This week: at (8) White (7-2), Region 1-2M quarterfinals, 6:30 p.m.
Notable: No issues for the Vikings last week as they wrapped up a solid regular season. They’ve got a difficult playoff opener at White, an opponent they haven’t faced since 2018. They’ve won nine in a row against the Commanders.
T10. (6) Bishop Kenny (8-2), 2M
Last week: lost to (3) University Christian, 29-10.
This week: vs. Orlando Bishop Moore (7-3), Region 1-2M quarterfinals.
Notable: A once-in-a-lifetime upset of Bolles a week earlier gave the Crusaders the district title and a No. 2 seed in Region 1-2M. They couldn’t follow up that win against a very good UC team, which would have given them the No. 1 seed in the region. The Hornets are a difficult opener for Kenny, which is a much better team than it showed against UC.
T10. (NR) Bolles (6-4), 2M
Last week: d. Gainesville Buchholz, 49-28.
This week: vs. Episcopal (8-2), Region 1-2M quarterfinals, 7:30 p.m.
Notable: The Bulldogs are back in the rankings and tied with Bishop Kenny for the final spot in our Super 10. Why a four-loss Bolles over a St. Augustine or a red-hot Suwannee? The Bulldogs have played the area’s most challenging schedule by a significant margin, according to MaxPreps. They are ranked fourth among area programs by that service. Dumping a very tough Buchholz in Week 11 was Bolles’ best win of the season. What Bulldogs team shows up in the state playoffs?
