Season record: 2-12.

My record is in the toilet and it’s clear I’m going to be picking No. 1 in the office draft next season. The Jaguars have turned things around and gotten right back in the AFC South title hunt. They can’t afford a dud in New York. The pressure is on. How will Trevor Lawrence and Jacksonville respond to that pressure? How about with a win on Thursday night football. Jaguars 24, Jets 20.

Season record: 6-8.

After picking the Jaguars to beat the Cowboys on Sunday, do you think there is any way I’m picking them to lose this week? No chance. It’s a short turnaround, yes. There are some injury concerns, yes. And we don’t know if this team is ready to handle success at this level. Still, I’m in on the Jaguars. I’m in on Trevor Lawrence and the passing game and Doug Pederson and I’m out on Zach Wilson. Jaguars 31, Jets 17.

Season record: 5-9.

Trevor Lawrence vs. Zach Wilson. Well, that is an easy choice. It’s No. 16 all day. The Jets defense has been playing well all season, but they simply haven’t gotten much from their QB consistently. That is why they turned the keys over to Mike White. With White out, I’m pounding the table for the Jaguars in this one. Thursday night football games tend to be wacky and unpredictable but I feel like this one will be over early. Jaguars 32, Jets 17.
