1. (1) Fleming Island (9-0, Class 2A)

Notable wins: Mandarin, New Smyrna Beach, Ridgeview, White.

Glance: Two more quality Ws for the Golden Eagles. Since our last Super 6, Fleming trounced Middleburg (33-0) and did the same to Clay (32-0) to round out the regular season. Mykayla Maddox finished the regular season with 24 touchdown passes, 1,194 yards and just one interception. She rushed for 764 yards and 17 touchdowns as the area’s top player continues to shine. Fleming is a state championship contender. The Golden Eagles scored 278 points this season and didn’t allow a point. District tournaments are next week and Fleming should roll through that.

2. (2) Bradford (11-0, Class 1A)

Notable wins: Florida Deaf, Florida High, Keystone Heights (twice), Middleburg, Suwannee.

Glance: The Tornadoes blanked Keystone Heights (25-0) since our last Super 6. Next up is Oakleaf on Wednesday and then Columbia on Thursday. Freshman QB Arnayshia Griffin eclipsed the 2,000-yard passing mark since our last update. She’s passed for 2,228 yards and 26 touchdowns this season. Griffin has also rushed for 648 yards and 14 scores, as well as intercepting 14 passes. Nichelle Brown has a team-best 773 rushing yards and 12 TDs. She’s also got nine picks.

3. (3) White (12-1, Class 1A)

QB Endia Maxwell has passed for 1,769 yards and 23 touchdowns, the bulk of those (15) to Tremesha Harris. Brianna Henderson, Kyra Jackson and Harris have four interceptions apiece for the Gateway’s best team. Their only loss is to No. 1 Fleming.

4. (4) Stanton (10-1, Class 1A)

Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Fletcher, Mandarin, Paxon.

Glance: A 24-0 win over Baldwin since our last Super 6, and now a Gateway Conference showdown against No. 6 Paxon on Wednesday. Stanton’s lone loss is to No. 3 White. The Blue Devils already hold a W over Paxon this season. They’ve been as high as No. 2 in the Super 6.
