1. (1) Mandarin (6-0-1, Class 7A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Creekside, Stanton.
Glance: The Mustangs went 1-0-1 since our last Super 6, an 8-0 rout of Fletcher and a 3-all game against a very good Beachside. Tallahassee Chiles is up next on Saturday for Mandarin, which hasn’t lost a regular season game since Jan., 31, 2022. Daniel Moreno and Alias Goldsberry have combined to split 12 goals. Omar Trto and Michael Burns have four scores apiece.
2. (3) Creekside (6-2-1, Class 7A)
Notable wins: Bishop Kenny, Englewood, Fleming Island, Spruce Creek, Tocoi Creek.
Glance: The Knights had a scoreless draw with unbeaten Menendez and then handled Spruce Creek (3-1) since our last Super 6. They’ve got a big one against 5-0-4 Sandalwood looming on Wednesday.
3. (5) Fleming Island (7-1, Class 6A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Bolles, Nease.
Glance: The Golden Eagles make the big jump of the week after extending their winning streak to five, including a 4-1 romp over previous No. 2 Bolles. A strong Tallahassee Chiles is up next on Friday before games next week against Bartram Trail (Tuesday) and Mandarin (Thursday). Their lone loss is to No. 2 Creekside.
4. (6) Beachside (4-1-3, Class 5A)
Notable wins: Christ’s Church, Oakleaf, Providence.
Glance: Quality week for the second-year Barracudas. They drummed Providence (6-0) and tied No. 1 Mandarin (3-3). Matanzas us up next on Dec. 12. Xander Heittch (5 goals) and Darek Szarek (4 goals) lead Beachside.
5. (4) Bartram Trail (3-1-2, Class 7A)
Notable win: St. Augustine.
Glance: A 1-0-1 mark since our last Super 6, a 7-0 rout of Seabreeze and a scoreless draw against Nease. The lone loss is the No. 1 Mandarin. On deck is Fleming Island on Tuesday. Michael Russel, Tanner Bagwell and Aaron Kadas have three goals apiece for the Bears
6. (NR) Sandalwood (5-0-4, Class 7A)
Notable wins: Bishop Kenny, Duval Charter, Englewood.
Glance: Great start for the Saints, who have draws against Stanton, Ponte Vedra, Oakleaf and Wolfson this season during their unbeaten start. They have Atlantic Coast (Friday) and Creekside (Wednesday) up next. Defense has been sound for the Saints, with just six goals allowed this year.
