JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars season is back and our News4JAX sports staff is back with its predictions as well. Each week, we’ll unveil our predictions for the week’s game. Jacksonville (9-7) visits Tennessee (5-11) on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the regular season finale. A win wraps up the AFC South. A loss could mean that they miss the playoffs.

This season: 10-6.

Lets cut to the chase. Give me the Jaguars. They should win this game and it shouldn’t be close. I was critical of the Jaguars during their losing streak but they were losing to playoff teams. The Titans are far from a playoff team. Jacksonville has taken care of business this year in games like this and they will this week. Jaguars will repeat as AFC champs. I think they do it without Trevor Lawrence and without Christian Kirk with that dynamic duo getting another week of rest before their returns in the playoffs.— Jaguars 28, Titans 17.

This season: 9-7.

The Jaguars nearly lost in this game (at home) last year. The difference this time is Tennessee is checked out and approaching a rebuild. A loss here would be a stunning fall from nearly the No. 1 seed in the AFC in December to out of the playoffs. I don’t think that happens. At the beginning of the season, I predicted Jacksonville to finish 10-7 and win the AFC South. That’s what I’m going with. — Jaguars 23, Titans 17.

Alessandra Pontbriand

This season: 9-7.

It all comes down to Week 18. The Jaguars have too much to lose ... to lose. Josh Allen and Travon Walker are on a roll and I think they will add at least one more sack each against Titans backup quarterback Ryan Tannehill. I think Trevor Lawrence starts, but may be limited so the running backs will have to have another big game. I think the Titans are going to rally around running back Derrick Henry as this may be his final game in Tennessee, so expect a somewhat tough game. — Jaguars 31, Titans 14.
