JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Super 6 girls high school basketball rankings will be published each Tuesday — except during Christmas week — through the regular season. Records are through Jan. 8.

Rank, School, Record, Classification

1. (1) Bishop Kenny (13-3, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Carolina Forest (SC), Dacula (Georgia), Episcopal, Green Hill (Tennessee), Ribault, Ridgeview, Sports Leadership and Management, Westminster Academy.

Glance: The Crusaders went 1-1 since our last Super 6, beating Sports Leadership and Management (53-36) to notch a high quality W. They followed that up with a loss to Somerset Prep (41-30). Kenny’s losses are to out-of-area teams who are a combined 39-5. DME Academy and Sumter (SC), the other teams the Crusaders have lost to, are both 13-0. Kenny is back in action on Thursday against rival and No. 3 Bolles. F Clare Coyle (11.6 ppg, 8 rpg), Riley Talbert (10.6 ppg) and G Kathleen Crawley (9.5 ppg) have been the top players for the Crusaders.

2. (2) Providence (16-2, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Beachside, Bolles, Calvary Christian, Creekside, Episcopal, Graves County (Kentucky), Hawthorne, Madison County, Master’s Academy, Orange Park, Ridgeview, Trinity Catholic.

Glance: A 2-0 mark for the Stallions since our last update, with wins over Chiles (60-24) and Episcopal (48-32). Games against P.K. Yonge and West Port on Friday and Saturday, respectively, are next for Providence. Janie Boyd (13.5 ppg) and Janai Jordan (13.1 ppg) lead the Stallions. Julianna Baskin is next at 11.8 points and 9.8 rebounds a game.

3. (3) Bolles (12-4, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Dougherty (Ga.), Holy Innocents Episcopal (Ga.), Mandarin, Orange Park, Paxon, Ponte Vedra, Raines, St. Mary’s (New York), Whitney Young (Illinois).

Glance: The Bulldogs have been off since a 66-56 win over Whitney Young on Dec. 30. Their holiday break ends on Thursday when they host No. 1 Bishop Kenny. Abby Knauff (16.2 ppg), Evie Freeman (11.2 ppg), Presley Norman (10.5 ppg), Terrell McCoy (10.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg), and Ella Stakem (9.3 ppg) lead a very good Bulldogs core.

4. (4) Ribault (10-3, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Deltona, Lee (Ala.), Mandarin, Godby, Raines, Rickards, Ridgeview.

Glance: The Trojans had no trouble with a quality Godby, winning 57-43. They faltered in their second trip to Tallahassee in a 47-33 loss to Rickards. Ribault also has a win over Rickards this season. They’re back in action next week. Destiny Donaldson (11.4 ppg, 6 rpg) and Kayla Massey (10.4 ppg) lead Ribault.

5. (5) San Jose Prep (9-6, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Cumberland County (Tennessee), Florida High, Ribault.

Glance: The Storm are 1-2 since our last Super 6, beating Texas program Legacy School of Sport Sciences (49-36), then losing 82-65 to Lee (Alabama) and 61-52 to Greenforest (Georgia). They’re back in action on Friday.

6. (6) Ridgeview (8-4, Class 5A)

Notable wins: Mandarin (twice), St. Augustine, Trinity Catholic, University Christian.

Glance: The Panthers haven’t played since a 55-42 loss to Ribault on Dec. 23. They’ve got a trip to University Christian up next on Friday. Nacoya Blocton (15 ppg), Nia Blocton (13 ppg, 10.2 rpg) and Narissa Blocton (11.7 ppg) are leading the way for Ridgeview.
