Rank, school, record, classification

1. (1) Ponte Vedra (14-1-1, Class 6A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Beachside, Bishop Kenny, Bishop Moore, Fletcher, Gulf Breeze, Lincoln, Mariner, Seabreeze, Somerset Academy, Tocoi Creek.

Glance: The Sharks beat Seabreeze 6-2 in their lone game since our last Super 6. The disappointment for Ponte Vedra is the games that weren’t played. The Sharks had a Jan. 12 game against Creekside wiped out by weather, then had Thursday night’s showdown with No. 4 Bartram Trail erased by rain.

2. (4) Creekside (9-0-2, Class 7A)

Notable wins: Beachside, Nease, Oakleaf, Providence, Stanton, Tocoi Creek.

Glance: The Knights returned to action after a Jan. 12 weather wipeout against Ponte Vedra with a 3-1 win over previously undefeated Nease. Alanna Maki, Avery Robinson and Lily Paisant all scored second-half goals for the Knights in that one.

3. (3) St. Johns Country Day (8-2-5, Class 2A)

Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Bishop Moore, Doral Academy, Episcopal, P.K. Yonge, Plantation American Heritage, South Walton,

Glance: The Spartans went 1-0-1 since our last Super 6, high quality matches against Chiles (0-0) and Tallahassee Lincoln (1-0)e. Mia Johnson had the winner in that one. St. Johns is back in action Thursday against Stanton.

4. (2) Bartram Trail (11-4-1, Class 7A)

Notable wins: Beachside, Daytona Beach Seabreeze, Edgewood, Lakeland Christian, Navarre, P.K. Yonge, St. Johns Country Day, Tocoi Creek.

Glance: The Bears went 0-1 since our last Super 6, with a 4-1 loss to Orlando Bishop Moore on Jan. 12. A headliner at No. 1 Ponte Vedra set for Thursday night was wiped out by bad weather. They’re back in action on Friday against St. Augustine.

5. (5) Nease (10-1-3, Class 6A)

Notable wins: Beachside, Mandarin, Middleburg, Oakleaf, Sandalwood.

Glance: Nease beat Menendez (3-0) and then lost to No. 2 Creekside (3-1) since our last Super 6. No shame in that loss for the Panthers. They’re back in action on Thursday night against Bishop Kenny.

6. (6) Atlantic Coast (9-2-3, Class 7A)

Notable wins: Fleming Island, Fletcher, Gainesville, Satellite, Stanton.

Glance: The Stingrays were upset in OT by Stanton in the Gateway Conference tournament. They bounced back with a 1-all draw against a quality P.K. Yonge. I kept them in the Super 6 this week due to their quality schedule. Their only other loss is to No. 3 St. Johns Country Day. They’ve got a tie against No. 2 Creekside. I’ve got Atlantic Coast in over a surging Stanton due to their better quality of competition, but it’s close.

On the bubble
